Short cut

  WALT: I learnt how to use shortcuts on my computer.
Reflection: I can click on Ctrl+f and search for a word , I can click on Ctrl + or - and they will go little and big.
 I wish i can keep working on these short cuts.

How tuataras get to school this morning

A scary story

One night when the moon  was full there was something
scary in The  haunted house Then come out I saw a
four eyed...vacuum cleaner! It look like a big monster with  
It chased me wherever I went, until a monster human turned
it off!!!

Then I went to have some fly and bugs for lunch because I was so hungry after that.

That was Fern Flat

Remember when we were in the van and we were having fun?

Remember when we turned up and  we went to ate our morning tea and  looked around?

Remember how we saw the old oven for firing the clay?

Remember when how happy we were when we started  making clay pigs?

The snowman.

   I shuffled towards the freezer and looked inside.  When I opened the lid there was a ginormous snowman. “Wow!” I said.  He showed me art of his tiny home. His home looked like snowy mountains. The round snowman talked with me and it was a nice view but he looked sad.  

Next minute, he grabbed my hand and we were flying up in the sky. It was snowing there was lots of house that had snow on them. When we  went over the ocean and there was a cute whale and the whale splashed us and we got sacked. After all of that, we flew over penguins. Before very long there were more huge snowmen and at the front was a Santa.        

I can smell salty sea and snow. Flying with the enormous snowman makes me feel safe.

Kaimanawas

The kaimanawa horses are wild and we have
three of them. One is mine and the other is 
Olive's. We are sharing the girl.The girl is at
our house with my pony. We can pat her now
and we can brush her now.  We can put the
halter on her. The boy that I am keeping is
called kaimanawa. We can put the lead rope on his neck now. And Olive’s horse is Ranga.
My one Honey, we can pat her and she is having
a foul.

The Sleepover

One sunny morning I woke up early and I knew that I was going to Olives house. It has a trampoline and we go on the tramp but Olive’s brother Riley kicks us off. Olive lives in a barn. And Riley and Rowen live in the camper because there are only two rooms in the barn.  And in the camper was…. a rat! Well that night we  were eating tea. We watched Peter Rabbit. We were all ready in bed when Olive told me that big rats can jump up and bite you. I am scared of rats!

I wanted to go home and my mum and Rachel meet up at the end of K Road.

Keep Mangonui Ataahua

Stop littering in Mangonui! Mangonui is a special place

to live. It is ataahua because it has a beautiful harbour.

As soon as I see litter, I put it in the bin. I do not like seeing litter. Everyone does not like to see litter. Litter in the water looks like a jellyfish and fish eat them. If we eat the fish, we will get sick because they have ate plastic bags.

When I am at the,shop I say no to plastic bags. Fish eat the plastic because it looks like jellyfish to eat. Mangonui Is a town a beautiful town.

Mangonui is ataahua. Mangonui is named after a big shark. Moehuri travelled from Hawaiki to Mangonui. Keep Mangonui litter free.

Moehuri

Many dark, nights ago, there was a man called Moehuri. He was
a chief. He paddled from  Hawaiki to Mangonui in Ruakaramea
at night time. The night was bright because the stars were like
lights in the sky.  Meanwhile, Moehuri said a karakia then he
saw a shark. The shark took him to the place that he called
Mangonui, after the shark.

Over time, Moehuri had lots of children on the pa. They were
so close to the harbour you could smell the salt water.  However,
Moehuri decided to sink the waka at the bottom of the pa. It
was a tapu place where the shark lived.

Rona

Many many years ago there was a woman called Rona and she lived at the beach.  
Rona was beautiful because her hair was just a sparkly black and her skin was brown and
shiny like someone's hair when it is wet. But, she was also a bossy boots.

One night  the rest of her family went fishing.

“Rona can you get a hangi for our kai?” asked her husband.  

Rona replied “Okay; I will make a hangi for the family.”  

So, she cleared the beach and got the rocks and set the area up and started cooking.
But the hangi started to smoke.  Rona had to go looking for water to fill her gourds. Then
the clouds covered the moon and she stab her toe and said boil your head. Then the moon
grabbed Rona and she grabbed the tree and the tree came with Rona and the moon except
Rona and the tree. Then her family came back from fishing and said "where is Rona?"
"There she is" said dad "she is in the moon".

Mangonui Harbour

In the morning, the moon is still in the sky above the harbour.
It looks like pizza sliced in half. I can hear the seagulls squawking. I shiver in the morning air because it is winter. At the wharf, squid bait rots and smells like rotten eggs. Not far from shore, I hear the waves crashing against the rocks.
